5/12/2014 – OKC, OK — An Oklahoma City felon has been convicted of prostitution caught on tape, by JohnTV’s own Video Vigilante Brian Bates.
Back in Dec. of 2012 JohnTV reported on the back-to-back Nov. busts of the same S. Robinson Ave. street prostitute with two different alleged ‘Johns.’
While the female has yet to bee identified, one of the ‘Johns’ was quickly identified as Robert Lee Stephens, 32.
Stephens was busted on video by Bates as he took a female street prostitute to a public park in the area of SW 17 and S. Robinson Ave. in south Oklahoma City.
On Nov. 29, 2012 misdemeanor charges of ‘prostitution, engaging in an act of lewdness’ were filed in Oklahoma County court against Stephens.
Despite Stephens criminal resume and the fact he was also charged in Oklahoma County with unauthorized use of a vehicle (aka, stolen vehicle) at the same time as his prostitution charges, a judge allowed him to post an own recognizance bond – meaning he only had to sign a promise to show up to court and not post any money.
On Nov. 15, 2013 Stephens pleaded guilty and was sentenced to one-year suspended (supervised), $50 fine, $50 VCA and court costs.
Also arrested on the same day was Jose Morales, 48, of El Reno.
Morales was criminally charged also on Nov. 29 – an warrant for his arrest is still active.
